Coaches are experienced and attend many trainings, and implement many different kinds of strategies to help all gymnasts. They go to great lengths to help each gymnast meet his or her goals.
My daughter has been in this gym for a few years now and the coaches are awesome ! Hard at times ,yes, but that's how these girls are going to learn and grow and become better !! Please take it from parents who have been involved with this place for awhile now and not let people who came "one time for open gym" influence your decision to take your kids there ! G2STRONG !!!
Wow is all that comes to mind when reading these negative reviews! Seems coincidentally strange that all of them only went to "one open gym" yet have such strong negative opinions! Your daughter isn't going to be an Olympic level gymnast after a single open gym experience. That's not favoritism, that's reality! And as far as the gym being disgusting or poor? Seriously do you know what dreams are and how to work towards achieving them? You're comments have definitely made me realize how truly glad I am that my daughter has been a part of this amazing gym family and grown with the gym from the beginning. I know my daughter has learned the value of working towards achieving something in life, rather than being a negative hateful being because the world wasn't handed to her!
I can't put into words what this gym and coaching staff have done for my daughter! They're amazing and support little girls' dreams coming true. (and just to make it completely clear, my daughter is not a "favorite" or treated any differently than the rest of the girls, she's just worked her butt off and earned everything she's gotten to get where's she's at) My daughter started at this gym on the very first day of classes and has been a member of the competitive team for two seasons now. The amount of strength and self esteem that she has gained, due to the support and experience of all of her coaches, in this time is absolutely priceless and I could never thank the coaches enough for all they do for these girls! For a small town Gymnastics Facilty, this gym offers so much to the families and gymnasts at so many levels!
This is a growing gym and they exceed the expectations by delivering a quality program for as young if a gym they are.
My experience at this small town Gymnastics gym was not me personally, but my daughter has gone to a Open Gym. I think they could make a lot of improvements. But it also seemed that the coaches are very disrespectful, I guess I can understand working with a lot of children is hard, but I still do not recommend coming here. This gym has "favorites" I think personally that is very rude. I live in a small town in NY, and I brought my daughter here, because she is obsessed with gymnastics. And me being a mother, all I wanted was my daughter to be happy. I had picked her up a little early, as I waiting for the open gym to close, I saw no interaction what so ever. All of the coaches there had seem they didn't want to be there. The coach had actually yelled at my daughter. She said it was disgusting also. There were toenails on the floor, which is disgusting The coaches also seemed like they don't know much about the sport. I cannot state that, but by the look of it, they seemed like they only cared about certain kids, I mean I understand if they were trying to work on something, but how is it fair to the other girls. I think this is just not a safe place for girls, my daughter did not like any of the coaches, she thought they were very rude. I would recommend taking the extra drive to a different gym. This place is not safe, and I think they should either get a inspection. She said it smelled horrible, and she felt alone. I thought there would be interaction with the girls, but no only the favorites, do not recommend coming here. This place is disgusting, and it did not seem safe, please keep your money, and try to find another gym. I also was reading some of the other reviews. And it appeared that the women who commented those things, there daughters are the good ones and they are the favorites. It seems like the coaches could care less about the kids that need help doing a handstand, but they care about the kids that can do really good skills. Do not recommend coming here.
So thankful for G2 Gymnastics and Fitness right here in Shinglehouse! My daughter is a G2 team member and I can't say enough good about the coaches and the program! Also love that they offer fitness classes now! Michelle and Jenny are the best! Always so much fun and great workouts! I highly recommend G2!
